DISPATCH CENTER

The Framingham Fire Dispatch Center is operated out of a centrally located station on RT 9. It is manned by full time firefighters 24hrs a day 7 days a week 365 days a year. Day to day operations include:

1. Dispatching vehicles to emergency and non emergency calls
2. Handling calls through 911 systems
3. Notifying special operations teams of emergency calls
4. Mutual aide to surrounding towns
5. Assisting the public with general information calls
6. Monitoring fire alarm electrical circuits
7. Testing of fire departments communication systems
8. Communicating between fire and police officials
9. Issuing of burning permits
10. Maintaining records of the daily activities
